serendipitous blogging advice

had a few work meetings yesterday...all about other people's business, and in the course of things was talking about this project ( I always manage to talk about myself SOMEhow ;)...mentioned this blog, and also mentioned the strange nature of blogging and the whole self-censorship thing..the public/private nexus - which of course got me thinking about what is the point of this blog... at the moment it's been fairly staid and dry...
a few bits tracking the surface features of the project mainly...
i am a very private lass - even though i appear all sunny and extroverted and talk about myself all the time (as noted above) - loathe to reveal much more than what IS on the surface except to my most intimate of intimates..
but then i realised that it is something of a waste of time...
I mean NO-One reads this blog except me..
i kinda thought it'd be a good way to keep track of the development and changes in the project - my thoughts, decision-making, mistakes, victories etc...but i am even keeping most of THOSE things to myself too!
I have lots of checkboxes in my inbuilt privacy settings.
so i think it would be better to use it more..track the daily slog a little more - probably be a little less verbose (difficult) - and in the long run. the blog may well be a more useful tool for the research evaluation. which was the whole point of it in the first place...
honestly - i could kick myself sometimes - and practice what i preach a little more!

so...here we go......
